The Standing Committees on Safety Performance Analysis (ACS20) and Statistical Methods (AED60) are pleased to sponsor a special hybrid session at the 2022 TRB Annual Meeting, which will highlight ongoing work by Ph.D. students who are nearing the completion of their doctoral research in the area of transportation safety. This session will be comprised of a series of short (3-5 minute) introductory presentations, followed by a poster session in the same venue that will allow for more extensive discussions on individual projects. This hybrid format will provide a great opportunity for the students to discuss their work with all of the attendees. In addition, an award will be presented for the best poster/presentation.
The deadline for this call is Friday, October 15, 2021. Students who wish to present their research should:
- Submit an abstract through Google Forms that provides a summary of their doctoral research (https://forms.gle/T2nD5ZH4fa3FFTLN8). A template is attached for your reference. Students will also be able to upload up to five tables and/or figures in support of their abstract.
- When submitting the abstract, students must also upload a letter from their faculty advisor that clearly states their anticipated graduation date and verifies that this research has NOT been submitted as a part of the normal TRB call for papers.
Any questions can be directed to Dr. Peter Savolainen at Michigan State University (pete@msu.edu).
